Sometimes you have to venture out in the rain,
for those who risk nothing never truly gain.

Growing up a stone’s throw from where his parents were born, Caleb Ryder’s music tells a unique story of life and love.  “At 30 years old, I had already lost my Mom, my Dad, and my Step Dad. But, as hard as it was, it gave me the unexpected gift of perspective.  Life is short, we only get this one go-‘round, and we better do what we enjoy while we have the chance.  For me, that's music.”
Caleb grew up in a musical family and was on stage by age 5.  "Singing was an obsession everywhere I went for as long as I can remember.  It's the only "instrument" you can practice pretty much anywhere you are without any equipment.  I thought if I just sang everywhere I went, I could maybe get decent at it."  His father was an acoustic singer/songwriter, and around age 16 Caleb gravitated toward the acoustic guitar's natural tones.  Influenced by folk, reggae, 90's "unplugged", and artists such as Sublime, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper and Eddy Vedder, Caleb's original songs have a unique feel all their own.  "Tune Your Vibrations" is a classic love song that reminds us why we fell in love in the first place.  "Still Life in Motion" and "Panoramic Planet" are songs of reflection.  And uplifting originals such as "You and I" are anthems to eternal optimism.  His live shows weave together original and cover songs for a riveting acoustic experience.  Caleb is performing solo acoustic shows across Iowa and also sings lead vocals in local Red Hot Chili Peppers Tribute, Rockinfreakapotamus.  Catch him at a venue near you soon!
